Privacy Policy
What personal information Body Positive Yoga / amberhouse holds, why it is held, and the rights you have over it.
Information collected
Body Positive Yoga / amberhouse holds your name and contact details, your booking and attendance history, confirmation of payments taken, and the correspondence between us. For hands-on and wellness services it also holds the intake and health information you provide before a first session.
Health information
Intake forms, session notes and anything you disclose about your health are confidential. They are used to deliver your service safely and for nothing else. They are never sold, never shared for marketing, and not disclosed to anyone without your consent, except where the law requires it or where there is a serious risk of harm to you or another person.
Why it is held
To deliver the service you booked, to take and reconcile payment, to keep the business and tax records required by law, to meet insurance and professional obligations, and — only where you have asked for them — to send you updates.
Payment details
Card details are handled by the payment provider used at checkout and are not stored by Body Positive Yoga / amberhouse. What is kept is the confirmation that a payment was made.
Who else has access
Only the services needed to run the business: the booking system, the payment processor, the email provider, and the video platform used for online sessions. Each handles the information under its own privacy terms and only for the purpose it was given.
How long it is kept
Records are kept for as long as they are needed to provide your service and to satisfy legal, tax, insurance and professional record-keeping requirements, and are then deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
You can ask what is held about you and request a copy, ask for anything inaccurate to be corrected, ask for your information to be deleted where nothing requires it to be kept, withdraw consent to marketing at any time, and object to particular uses. Requests are handled within the time your local law allows. Depending on where you live, these rights may arise under the GDPR or under California law.
Marketing
Newsletters and offers go only to people who have asked for them, and every message carries an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing does not stop practical messages about a booking you have already made.
Children
Personal information is not knowingly collected from children. Where a young person attends with consent, their information is handled through the parent or guardian who booked.
Cookies and this website
These pages set no advertising or tracking cookies. Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives the request needed to serve them.
Security
Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used to keep personal information safe. If a breach ever occurred that was likely to affect your rights, you and the relevant authority would be told as the law requires.
